Janice Reul

Senior social worker

For over two decades, Janice Reul has professionally engaged in capacity building of rights-based organizations in different African communities.

After obtaining a BSc in Social Work and Gender and Development at the Free University in Amsterdam, she pursued an MSc in Gerontology at the University of Southampton, UK.

Janice is knowledgeable about existential aging issues and passionate about promoting individual well-being in older age. In her present role as a senior social worker at Fiom, she interacts with (transnational) adoptees and their birth and adoptive family members daily. Actively integrating a life-course and transgenerational perspective in her present work has given her a better understanding of the impact of (transnational) adoption throughout the lifespan of those involved.
